Join us for one of the Appalachian Fair’s most charming traditions — where participants model wool garments while proudly leading their wool-producing sheep!

🎯 Judging Objectives

1. Presentation of Sheep

   • Sheep should be presented in the most attractive, well-groomed manner.

   • Each sheep must have been exhibited in either the Open or Junior Sheep Show.

2. Purpose of the Event:

• To highlight the connection between fashion and farming.

3. Contestants model wool garments while leading their sheep, showcasing both the beauty of the animal and the practical use of wool in everyday life.

🧵 Judging Standards

Contestants will be evaluated on the following:

• Garment Suitability:
  Appropriateness, practicality, and style in relation to the contestant’s age and maturity level.

• Poise & Appearance:
  Confidence, stage presence, and overall look, including accessories and grooming.
  Contestants should appear at ease and wear their garments to best advantage.

• Control & Presentation of Lamb:
  How well the animal is handled, led, and presented in harmony with the contestant.

📋 Entry Requirements

• Each contestant must submit a brief biography and a description of their garment with their entry form.

Entries must be completed prior to the competition.
 

🕕 Rehearsal Information

📍 Location: Sheep Show Pavilion
🗓️ Date: Friday, August 22
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM

All contestants must attend rehearsal to participate in the event.

👧 Age Divisions

Lot Division Age:

1 -- Wee Contestants -- 4 years & younger (may be accompanied by an adult)

2 -- Primary Contestants -- 5–7 years old

3 -- Junior Contestants -- 8–11 years old

4 -- Intermediate Contestants -- 12–15 years old

5 -- Senior Contestants -- 16–20 years old

6 -- Adult Contestants -- 21 years & older
