Tennessee State Veterinarian information regarding Lactating Dairy Cattle:

• 
  Lactating Dairy Cattle (LDC) residing within Tennessee and moving to an exhibition, show, or sale within Tennessee (intrastate movement) do NOT require pre-movement testing.

• 
  Lactating Dairy Cattle (LDC) coming into Tennessee from other states will need to be tested according to federal and state orders.

• 
  It is recommended that any person bringing LDC to a show or fair NOT share milking equipment between cattle and farms without cleaning and disinfection.

• 
  It is also recommended that owners of LDC NOT share halters, grooming tools, buckets, etc. between cattle and other livestock.
