APPALACHIAN FAIR HONEY SHOW

P.M.
ENTRY REMOVAL Tuesday, August 30, 3:00-6:00
p.m. Adhere to this take out time only.
SPECIAL RULES
Extracted honey will be accepted in regulation
one pound queenline jar. Comb honey will be
accepted in a pint canning jar. All jars must be
unlabeled. Only one entry per lot per exhibitor.
Beeswax must be of one (1) pound or more.
Articles made of beeswax must be made by the
exhibitor. Frames and sections of honey must be
packed in sanitary, bee-proof container. All
honey and beeswax must be produced by the
exhibitor during the current year.
1. ENTRY MUST BE MADE by filling out entry form
(in center of catalog) and returning to the
Appalachian Fair, P.O. Box 8218, Gray, TN 37615,
by AUGUST 5. If possible, for 20 or more items,
entry tags can be picked up in advance for your
convenience in tagging items before bringing to
the fairgrounds on entry day. It is the
responsibility of the exhibitor to properly
select the lot for entry of any article. For

2. Screen wire over the air vents on observation
hives must be on the inside.
3. Leaking frames of honey will be disqualified.
4. At the judging only two people will be needed
to assist the judge. The Fair Association
reserves the right to disqualify ALL entries of
any person interfering with the judge, clerks,
or placing of ribbons.
5. Only items listed in the premium book will be
accepted. All premium money will be paid from
the awards as marked by the judges and not from
ribbons that may be attached to the exhibits.
Judges are instructed not to award a premium or
premiums unless article or articles are deemed
worthy of the placing awarded.
6. Sale of honey by exhibitors will not be
permitted.
7. Exhibits may be removed Tuesday, August 30,
between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. Premium checks will
be handed out or mailed.
