Entries in the Arts and Crafts Department must be made on
SATURDAY, AUGUST 13, between 11 a.m. 6:00 p.m.

ONE DAY ONLY!

ENTRY REMOVAL Tuesday, August 30, 3:00-6:00pm. ADHERE TO THIS TIME ONLY.
ENTRY MUST BE MADE by filling out entry form (in center of catalog) and returning to the Appalachian Fair, P.O. Box 8218, Gray, TN 37615 by Aug 5. If possible, for 20 or more items, entry tags can be picked up in advance for your convenience in tagging items before bringing to the fairgrounds on entry day. Please place entry tag in upper right hand corner of the article.

SPECIAL RULES:

1. Those engaged in any line of work as a profession or business, or as teachers of the same, are considered professional, and are not eligible to exhibit for competition.
2. All entries must be original and must be entered in the name of the person who actually did the work.
3. Exhibitors may enter only one article in any lot. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to properly select the lot for entry of any article. For information call (423) 477-3211.
4. Articles which cannot be appropriately displayed on counter or shelves will not be accepted. Maximum size limited to 48” in any direction.
5. Articles that have been entered in previous exhibitions of the fair are not eligible.
6. Awards will be made on quality of workmanship and originality of design. All premium money will be paid from the awards as marked by the judges and not from ribbons that may be attached to the exhibits. Judges are instructed not to award a premium or premiums unless article or articles are deemed worthy of the placing award.
7. The Fair Association reserves the right to disqualify ALL entries of any person interfering with the judge, clerks, or placing of ribbons.
8. Only articles listed in the premium book will be accepted.
9. Premium Checks may be handed out or mailed.
10.Refer to General Rules and Regulations in this book applying to all departments.
11. Only new clothing items will be accepted. Soiled items will not be judged.
12. No entries accepted containing flammable liquids.
