JUNIOR COMMERCIAL BEEF
JUDGING FOLLOWING
JUNIOR SHOW
ENTRY DEADLINE: AUGUST 5TH
1. Competition open to any
4-H or FFA member.
Members are required to have been enrolled in
the fourth school grade on January 1 of the
current calendar year in order to be eligible to
exhibit their animals in this show and will
become ineligible at the end of the calendar
year following graduation from high school. If
question arises, junior exhibitors must show
proof of age, such as a driver's license.
Exhibitors must be under the supervision of an
Extension Leader or Agent, or a leader of
Vocational Agriculture and shall be required to
comply with all rules of the show.
2. Exhibitor must fill out an entry form for
each exhibitor by either downloading a form,
hand written on form supplied by the fair, or
on-line, stating the
number of heifers the exhibitor plans to show.
The heifers will be
measured and classified after arriving at the
fairgrounds.
3. Non-registered beef heifers of any breed or
combination of beef breeds may exhibit.
Requirements for this class are:
a. Heifers must have their "milk teeth" and be weaned.
b. Heifers must either be polled or dehorned
c. Heifers will be assigned to lots based on hip height
measurements
d. Heifers shown in this class are not eligible to show in
the Registered Show.
4. Animals must be on the grounds by 6:00 p.m. on
Monday, August 20th. Animals will be
measured Monday, August 20th at 9:00 a.m. All
cattle must conform to health rules and
regulations as outlined and required by the
Division of Animal Disease Control.

be selected from first place winners and
