GENERAL RULES:
Awards presentation will be Saturday, August 24,
at 3:00 p.m. Location to be announced.
CLASS A
JUNIOR HIGH JUDGING RULES
1. Teams will consist of four
(4) Junior High (6th, 7th & 8th grades) 4-H Club
members. Any 4-H member enrolled in the 6th, 7th
or 8th grades may be a member of a team. Note:
Members in Outdoor Meat Cookery must have been
in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade on January 1 of the
current year. Counties with incomplete teams (less than
four members) may enter up to three members who would
be eligible for high individual awards.
CLASS B
SENIOR HIGH JUDGING RULES
1. Teams will consist of four (4) bonafide 4-H
members in the Eastern Region.
2. Only teams with members currently enrolled in
the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grades will be able
to participate. Note: Members in Outdoor Meat
Cookery must have been in the 9th, 10th,11th, or
12th grades on January 1 of the current year.
Counties with incomplete teams (less than 4
members) may enter up to three members who would
be eligible for high individual awards.
3. If any of the three top teams in Outdoor Meat
Cookery are unable to participate in the State
Contest, the Regional 4-H Specialist should be
informed. In this event, the next highest
placing team would be given the opportunity to
participate in the State Contest and would
receive the team prize money.
ALL CONTESTS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE RULES ESTABLISHED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF
TENNESSEE EXTENSION
